Videos are an incredibly compelling form of sending out a message to your audience. They can be paid partnerships, personal vlogs, or short form content (think Instagram or Tik Tok) to present destinations, day trip ideas, or how to access transit.
My mission with my own travel and vlog videos is to inspire people to get out and experience everything from what can be perceived as mundane to travel ideas that are affordable and accessible to most people. It's also extremely fun to document and try out ideas I generally can not do with my professional video work for clients. A vacation from the norm but can also incorporate my love for video production on my own terms. Below is a collection of my favourite videos and there are always more coming out every couple of months.

My largest undertaking in terms of vlogs and travel videos is my trip to Montreal, Quebec with a Brompton Bicycle.

I partnered with Curbside Cycle for a portion of the video to show how you can take a Brompton folding bike with you on the VIA Rail. We cover the Transit Travel Bag, the great benefit of biking yourself to Toronto Union Station and the comfort and ease of riding the scenic landscape on comfortable train to one of Canada's most culturally significant cities and having incredible access to the city on the comfort of your own saddle and two wheels.

Go Transit, for most people, is just seen as a regional transit system and that isn't wrong. But it can be used as a tool to get out and see a thing or two.

While Barrie, Ontario isn't raved about or high on the places to visit list, it's pretty incredible that you can hop on a train and head there on a very affordable level. On this. quick journey a friend and I use the weekend pass to check out the icy lakefront, a quick brisk walk and enjoy the clatter of the train on rails to a place neither of us really have been.

My very first travel video that I am so incredibly proud of!

A very quick trip with a 3 hour layover in Ottawa on my way to Halifax, Nova Scotia. There was no agenda aside from quick research of some neat things to see and some tasty bites to try. This is a two part video and the ultimate destination was a beautiful wedding for two incredible people that changed my life years ago.

This served as a follow up to my Halifax video and to showcase an annual event that happens in downtown Toronto.

The celebration of the Toronto Blackout that happened just over 20 years ago that affected most of the city for several days. It shows the admiration and love for the city, getting together to create music and light.

My goal was to capture this event with a more personal touch than a news report. I believe personal connection and feelings drive the audience and humanize a virtual experience. If you have never attended one of these spectacular events, this is one not to miss.
